So I got my rebuild kit in yesterday and had some free time last night so I figured I would go tear the Evo 3 16g apart. Well I knew the nut holding on the turbine wheel would be hard to get off, but didn't realize that it was reverse theaded. That was the first problem, the nut is shot by the way, which sucks, but not the end of the world...yet. So I also noticed that the turbine wheel was chipped on the bottom part of it. I will try to get some pics of it, but it is pretty much shot, not to mention the damn thing won't come off the compressor shaft. So I am pretty bummed right now. It was clipped and had a little shaft play, enough to hit the housing and that is why I was gonna rebuild it.
