Turbo Rebuild

I have a Turbo that needs to be rebuilt, I dont want to ship it, so does anyone know any shops in NEW JERSEY that I can carry it to to get it rebuilt?

Call up a very good diesel mechanic shop. Someone who builds turbos. They usually do good jobs.

I shipped to GPOPShop.com I know you said you didn't want to ship, but it wasn't THAT expensive to ship and it makes it fairly hassle free.

or you can rebuild it yourself... its not hard and its pretty cheap... I just finished with mine... $75 for cleaning, glass peening, polishing, and balancing... plus $100 for the rebuild kit.. it takes about 20 minutes to take apart a turbo.... about 25 to put it back together....about less than 2 days to do it yourself

i dont remember where I got the turbo rebuild kit from... when I remember, i will post

I'm a noobie to this and got a great deal on 96 Auto GSX for a daily driver. I need to fix it up a little bit and was looking to rebuild to turbo too. I live in Chicago and I'm not mechanically inclined so I'd rather leave it to the pros so I'm sure the job is done right.

Does anyone know of any goods shops to rebuild turbos in the Chicagoland area or suburbs?

I've been doing customer rebuilds for over 4 years now- my labor rates are very affordable.

All you'll pay for is parts, labor, and return shipping....and I just checked with UPS and shipping from NJ to me would only cost $12.71. As long as there aren't any major issues, you're looking at around $165 total for a rebuild.

If you are looking for a good turbocharger rebuild shop in New Jersey, there is a shop in Essex county NJ on Rt.46 near Rt.80. They can service just about any turbocharger.

The company is called Scroll Products Turbo Service, they upgraded my TD04-13G to a TD04-19T nice upgrade 350HP out of that pump. I ran it hard for 2 years sold the car since then and I miss it every day. They did this upgrade years ago at their EU workshop and Im glad to here they are local here in the US.
