I am referencing this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/another-oil-return-leak.366584/
Sense I can't post there and have questions cause I am going through the same process right now.
I ordered the gasket and crush washers from mitsu today.
My questions are
What is the torque spec on the bolts?
I know there is a loctite product out there that is a thread sealer and is not the Teflon grease it's made for sealing bolts not pipe fittings.
I would like to double up on sealing the bolts sense this seams to be the biggest prob about this job

What car?

A 1G (or any MHI turbo, 13g, 14b, 16g, etc.) torque specs are 6-7 ft.-lbs for all OEM oil return line bolts. A 2G (only with the T25) is 6-7 ft.-lbs. at the pan and 16 ft.-lbs. at the turbo.

I've always used Permatex thread sealant.

Thank you wiseman..!
What permatex do you use? A thread lock like blue loctite?

Factory gasket factory washers permatex gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket loctite tread sealer in the bolts torqued down to 7lbs... And allowed to dry over night

LEAKING!:banghead:

How clean were the gasket surfaces? Typically the return line is okay or is easily cleaned; the pan is another story. I've gotten to the point I take a wire wheel to the pan gasket surface and use a thin layer of high-temp, oil resistant RTV only for a gasket. Still utilize thread sealant and crush washers.

Both surfaces were cleaned with brake clean, Scotch-Brite and perfectly dry no oil..
Up next the ultimate sin Ford RTV sealer only

Round two! Let's see if it works out.. I used this rtv on all kinds if stuff when I was a ford tech.. It's the berries! It drys like rubber
(hopefully talking good about it will ensure a good seal):sneaky:

Round two unsuccessful..
Let run in the driveway for 10min no leak.. Took a 10min ride returned to it leaking:banghead:
Wondering if there may be a prob with the turbo? To much pressurepushing trough the return line?

Or the PCV system, too much pressure in the crankcase. Sorry I really don't have any more suggestions. I hope you get it figured out.

Humm... Good idea.. It idle high today 2g.. But even with a open breather on the valve cover?

Scuffed with 80 grit to give a good bond and cleaded with acetone let's see how it goes

Ok I may have found my prob.. Just went down And put oil I it.. Leaking right away.. There is a small in dent on the pan on the top right see of the flange area that it seems to be the cause of the issue...

Is this the way the pan is or not?
