Does the orientation of the coolant bolts with the holes in them matter? If oriented strait up and down it isnt tight enough and leaks.

It doesn't matter because the other half of the fitting has a channel that wraps around the bolt that the fluid passes through. The crush washers seal the bolt head to the fitting and whatever it's being bolted to like the turbo or a brake caliper.

To add to this, Garrett actually recommends that the turbo be tilted slightly on liquid cooled turbo's so that thermal siphoning can happen after turning off the engine, this prevents coking in the chra from heat buildup after the engine is no longer supplying coolant or oil to the turbo.

Thanks everyone, the washers looked good when off so I didn’t replace them. She’s up and running now.
Visual inspection of washers doesn't cut it. They can harden. If you develop leaks just replace them. They're super cheap. Cheap enough I keep an assortment handy.
