I have a 95 GSX. I'm purchasing some 17x8 Enkei Kojin rims does anyone know if I can fit 245 wide tires on the car?

I'm ordering them next month and they are available in different offsets, which offset do I need to make the 245's work? Tirerack recommends a +45 but that's for a 215 wide tire.

Well a 245/40/17 works for me on a 36 offset but if you had your car lowered it will be close to touching the fender so it is do'able and many have done it, just check all the clearances and you will be good

If you want to fit 245's then I'd go with an offset of 40-35mm. Otherwise you could easily run into clearance issues with the 2ga rear knuckles. With 18x8 +40 Enkei's and 235/40 Pirelli's, I have less than a fingers width between the tire and rear knuckles.

I also had to roll the inner lip of the rear fenders due to rubbing. But I'm lowered nearly 2" so your results may vary.

I've had one of my tires rub on the fender (rear drivers side), so if you can roll the fenders just a slight bit to get rid of the lip, that'd be ideal.


Please don't run anything smaller than a 235 tire on an 8" wheel - that'd be pointless.
