I have a 95 GS-T I'm putting the 3G GSX "style" wheels on. Now my question is do I use the 215-50-17 tires the GSX has stock on them for tires? Or will it throw my speedo off and I need a different size tire? Someone let me know, thanks :)

The closest +1 size would be 215/45-17. It's slightly smaller in diameter then original. It reads 1% too fast so that at 60mph indicated your actual speed is 59.4 mph

215/50-17 is slightly larger in diameter that stock and will read 2.4% slow so that at 60 mph indicated you would be going 61.4 mph.

I don't think either of these errors are a big deal. If the question is that the wheels have good tires on them and you want to use them, do so.

oh wow I didn't know the difference was that insagnificant. LOL. when i was reading about it they made i sound like it would read way off! when i bought the rims they did not come with tires so i wanted to make sure i ordered the correct size. thanks for the help!

The speedo reads something like 5% high with the OE size. Slightly larger tires will actually make your speedo more accurate.

If it were me, I'd run 225/45/17 and not look back. More bang for your buck, plus the 215/45/17 has a really small sidewall compared to a 215/50 or a 225/45.

I haven't heard that 3.8" is "really small" when compared to 4.0" ... but my wife knows about my insecurities, so maybe that's why I have never heard it expressed in those terms before.
