I have been searching up and down and can't find an answer. All the threads I find are talking about different profiles, i.e. 225/60 So, I received a set of chrome 5 spokes the other day and the sizes of the tires are as follows: two of them are 225/60/16 and two of them are 205/60/16. Are these fine to run on my awd with let's say the 225s on the rear and the 205s on the front?

No. They need to have the same outer diameter. So if you have a 205/60(which is taller than the factory tire btw) then you need a 50 series on the 225. That's the general rule at least t same size tires from different manufactures can have different outer diameters.

Tires are more confusing than I thought. Guess I'll have to do some digging in the used tire tire pile at the shop. Lmfao

You want tires that are the exact same size. Even a 2/32 difference in tire size can put extra strain on the diffs and cause premature failure of components. So I would suggest new tires, that way you can monitor wear.

I believe the factory tire size is 205/55-16, which you can pick up for around $100 per tire and your local tire shop.
