Ok, well about a week ago I installed my timing belt and all the other necessaries. All of the timing marks were lined up correctly, I believe. The oil pump sprocket was questionable, I believe the white mark on the sprocket cover to be the timing mark, I could be wrong. Upon reassembly and initial test drive, I notice I have alot of vibration at idle, and as the RPMs increase, I can feel a ton of vibration. It feels as though it is just resonating through the entire chassis. My best guess is a balance shaft is out of time, and I would put my money on the oil pump shaft. My question is, what is the correct timing mark for that sprocket? I'm contemplating wether or not to just get the BSEK and doing away with them all together, but I had really wanted to save that until I pulled the motor for the rebuild.

it sounds like the oil pump sproket and ballance shaft behind that are off. Redo the timing belt when you line up the oil pump turn the arrow to 12 oclock positionand it will rotate back down a bit this is how you know when it is close to where it is supposed to be then you will have to slightly move it into position. hope this helps.

Is the arrow on the sprocket itself? If it is I'm really gonna have to go get my eyes checked, because I didn't see it when i was last under there. Looks like it's back to the garage. Thanks for the quick reply.
