Tial wastegate hitting alternator, punishment o2, help!

Not to bring this thread back from the dead but I've been running a punishment o2 housing w/ 38mm tial wg for almost a year now. The problem is that I've been having to use a longer alternator belt because unless I max out the adjustment on alternator, the wg makes contact with it. the second problem is that I never found the perfect size belt for it. It was either too big or too small for the point at which the alternator was when maxed out. So I'm going home from work the other day and next thing I know my car I over-heated, like past the "H" over-heated because the belt snapped. I just had this motor built and installed the O2 housing new so I was confident I had received the right part. When it didn't fit how I expected I figured it was normal for it being a "custom piece". Sorry for venting. I guess what Im trying to get at is... how is this all supposed to fit? I have a 2g GSX with the 2-bolt 38mm tial wg.
