Tial 44mm vacuum fitting?

I saw an EVO in a magazine that had changed out the banjo bolt fitting that comes with the 44mm wastegate to a 90* AN fitting. I'm thinking of changing to a metric to barbed elbow. Anyone know where I'd find something like that? I believe it's an M10x1.25 thread.

That wastegate should have come with a 10mm banjo and fitting that makes it kinda into a 90*. You should just be able to get a 10mm banjo to -3 or whatever and do it that way. Will that work for you or are you looking for a one piece fitting that threads in and is a 90 also?

The fitting that came with it fell out and punctured my radiator. I don't want that happening again so I want a different type of fitting.

I've used a 1/8 90 barb fitting from the Dept

I can't seem to find such a fitting, and TiAL says that thread is 10mm x 1.0 (which makes it all the more difficult).

I can do it with 2 fittings but there isn't much room. The Evo I saw had one fitting, but it was an AN 90 degree fitting. I don't know if I want to run steel braided line for that.

I sent Tial a note to see what they say. I doubt they'll have a solution though. I guess I could always just use Loctite.

I found the correct fitting but it is about 2 days out. It is a 10mm x 1.00 to a -4 but it is straight. It has a sealing washer on the metric end where it would go into the tial. If you need the 90* fitting I can get you a 90* -4 to -4. PM me if you want more info.

Thanks Wayne, but I don't think it will work. I don't have enough room. It's got to be a 90 degree fitting coming off the wastegate for it to work.

Chris, put some loctite on the threads, problem solved.

Is it possible they simply re-tapped the top hole? Doing that (or using Loctite), seems easiest.

i €would just retap the hole to 1/8npt. It is very easy to do whatever you want from there. Napa had many 1/8 npt- barbed fittings. whatever angle you want.
