Just a battery opionion question.

I have a turbo talon now, that came with an optima red top battery, its 4 years old this month.

I also have n/t eclipse that spun a rod bearing and im selling to a guy for parts. It has a newer Autolite battery which i beleive is from Advance Auto an I know is much cheaper then the optima but is only a year old last month.

Should i switch out the two? Switch the Optima for the 1 year old Autolite, or should I keep the 4 year old Optima over the Autolite?

The dude wants a batter, wont buy it without one, so I have to include one!

Any opinions?

My optima is about 5 years old and my buddies is at least 6, no problems with them yet

Well thats why im asking yall, to help me decide on one. I know the optimas are great, but its 4 years old versus the 1 year old Autolite. The age is the only reason im having a dilemma

I guess the Autolite probably still wont out last the Optima. 5 or 6 years out of the optima means ill get at least another two, I guess theres no telling with the Autolite

Yes optima a great brand, whats the warranty i forgot on those things. Kinda weird no sale if no battery.

Give the optima, satisfy the customer and get yourself a newer battery at the same time.

Yea its because its one of thoe "We buy Junk Cars" places. Has to to include a battery. Tried just parting it out slowly but no ones called for any parts.

So im not really worried about satisfying the customer . Just want to keep the battery that will potentially last the longest

With a battery you never know even some new ones i had didnt last long, under warranty though, so keep the one you think will do best for you.

i'd go red top. Like iudgrad92turbo said, i bought a cheap one from wal-mart once and that didn't last very long.

stick with the optima i think every one would agree its a better battery.
