The right injectors?

Today I went to locally pick up some injectors. I got there everything looked fine, paid him and left, I don't know much about injectors. I was excited because I got myself some FIC 950cc injectors:D. I got home and checked the ID numbers just to be sure, sure enough the ID came up as RC 550cc.:notgood:. He insists they are 950's because that's what the person he traded them for said. He never ran them though. Could me computer be wrong are they really FIC 950's?

Here's the stamped number I put it. D1151BA.
There's also another stamped number that bring up nothing on my search and a scratched in number.

They also don't look much like FIC's when I compare them in pictures

RC usually has the letters "RC" etched onto it before the numbers. But those are actually the numbers for the Lucas 550 injectors from what I've been able to gather, so I would go get your money back.

He told me to try them which I will because he keeps saying that the person he bought them from insisted that they are 950's. I don't know but if they don't work he said I could get my money back no problem. It would be nice if they were disquised 950cc's though :sneaky:

Most injector shops use cores from other manufacturers, and then modify them to their own specs. All of the FIC's I've seen are marked "FIC" along with the size. The older ones were just scribed into the body of the injector, and the newer ones have a label as shown above.

I can't really tell from the pic, but I highly doubt if those are FIC 950's.

Thanks you guys for the help. I'm going to put them in today just to be 100% sure. But if they're not I'm going to get my money back and get some real FIC's.

I just put in the injectors and this is what happened, my ecu is already socketed for 950cc injectors so I know everything would be right to run 950s.

When I started the car it started right up. Looked at DSMLink and the estimatedAFR showed 28.3.1 and the wideband showed 12.0.1. Also my front o2 was staying right around .96v. That's all I noticed that was different. Are these 550s and not 950s?

Is there still something I need to dial in? I set Link up to run 550's and it showed estimatedAFR of 20.0.1 and wideband showed 11.5.1.

Im new to tuning and stuff anything I still need to do?

Heres a log with DSMLink set to run 950s, only went 2 driveways down my street and back. LOL
