My 10.9@124-125 16g passes were only 7.0@97 in the 1/8th. Only once did I ever go 6.x on the 16g but I aborted that pass. I thought a 6.9 or quicker was needed for 10's, but every car will pick up differently.

You got killer 1/8th mph for a 14b man. Judging by your AWD (where the hell has that been anyways?), you can drive.

So sub 1.6 60' times are keeping the 125ish mph range to 10sec slips.

I didn't even know they where setup to run a gear based shift light. Shows how much I've been on the link forums lately.

You're literally right there man haha.

Not gear based, just rpm based. It's nothing new, just use EGR or FPR triggers at the rpm you want the light to come on.

I've noticed getting good 1/4 times are not to bad to achieve. Trying to hit a sub 7.00 1/8 mile is tough.

As you said you're in 4th before the 1/8, I am as well, and I'd guess we all are. It's all about executing the perfect 1/8, then it's up to the tune, momentum, etc. to carry the second 1/8.

I'm with bullett here, I'd leave the car as is except for finishing your intake scoop and just grab all the seat time you can. Don't mess with the tranny yet, etc. I too, think you've got 10's in the car as it sits.

Also, the less you do, the sweeter the accomplishment.

I'll agree there, the car has tens in it with the fwd trans. Clearly the 60' alone could do it. But, the point I was making about Joe pulling on you all the way down the track solidified what you already said. You can make more power, finish that intake scoop and perfect the tune. A little more time finding those perfect shiftpoints and you've got it!

Here is the part that is interesting to me. Here are the numbers for Joe's run versus Justin's 11.11 run:

60' - 1.758 - 1.626 - +0.132 seconds
330' - 4.783 - 4.577 - +0.206 seconds
1/8 mile ET - 7.24 - 6.994 - +0.246 seconds
1/8 mile MPH - 101.41 - 101.48 - -0.07mph
1/4 mile ET - 11.113 - 10.876 - +0.237
1/4 mile MPH - 126.26 - 123.83 - +2.43mph

Here are the numbers for Justin's 11.03 run:

60-starting there's a .002
330-60' there was .084 gain
1/8-330 there's a .056 gain
1000-1/8 there's a .007 gain
1/4-1000 theres only a .01 gain

So if you look at this, you can see Justin is making the power. On his 11.03 run, he lost time down the track, but was cutting that time down throughout the run. On his 11.11 run, he actually gained 0.009 seconds on the back half. I would agree with you figuring out the timing issues for first gear, finish the intake setup and keep tweaking the tune. Those along with seat time will probably get you there. Can't wait to get back home and get to working on my car to be on the track with you!

I think maybe you're confused Brandon, Joe continued to pull away from Justin the entire track. But, the rate of how quickly slowed near the end. I'd say Justin isn't quite making the power...YET! The mph might say he is, but the ET doesn't. There doesn't appear to be any part of the track that Justin crossed quicker then Joe did, despite similar 60's. With Joe weighing another 100ish lbs I'd say Joe was making more power. Now this is obviously very tough to determine for sure, we're talking different gearing too. None of this is meant to deter Justin though, in fact I'd take it as a positive that it means he can make more power and has plenty of room to improve! I'd say it's only a matter of time.

I'm taking a little more serious look at weight again on my car, there are more things I can live without, look out Dave and Phil I'll be gunning for your times! Then Nate!

From 0-60' Joe has me beat by .002

From the 330-1/8 Joe has me covered by .057 (this is where I start closing the gap)
Now from 1/8-1000 I close the gap more and its only .007 gap
Then the 1000-1/4 its a .010 difference.

So you can see how I close the gap from the 330' mark .074 sec. I have the better power to weight ratio. I just lost out at the begining of the track and had to catch up time. I just couldnt catch enough time to run a 10.87. Also shows I closed the gap because I backhalfed the track with 25.308mph to Joes 22.350

Notice that he increases his time lead on you at every measured time interval. Therefore, he "pulls" on you for the entire track.

This is not meant to belittle or make your effort sound any less impressive! I simply was curious if you crossed any measured point quicker then he did and the answer is no, you crossed some in nearly the same amount of time, but not quicker. What this tells me is that you do not have a power to weight advantage on his thus far, OR, the awd trans gearing is that much better....or both. This means you have plenty of room to improve because we know Joe didn't have any magic fairy dust

Ok I confused the numbers. You are correct. The numbers I posted are right just not for the right person. The numbers I posted are how much he pulled on me at each interval. So the further we got down the track the less he pulled away. Or the more I gained.

So it should say this

0-60' = 1.626
60'-330 = 2.951
330-1/8 = 2.417
1/8-1000 = 2.108
1000-1/4 = 1.774

Mine
0-60 = 1.628
60'-330' = 3.035
330'-1/8 = 2.474
1/8-1000 = 2.115
1000-1/4 = 1.784

Difference
0-60' = .002
60'-330 = .084
330'-1/8 = .057
1/8-1000 = .007
1000-1/4 = .010

His times between intervals where quicker down the track. And his best pull was between the 60-330' mark. But the farther he went the smaller the gap between times.

I know your not trying to belittle. Just want a better understanding for all including myself on the break down.
