There's been ALOT of crazy 14b record builds that never made it to the track. So i guess they have the right to give people some shit haha

the problem of driving, i quoted you directly in post 2866.
That sounds like an official "call-out" to me.
I hope it was calling me out. Car should be making a couple passes before snow flies. Waiting on my gear sets and clutch then its game on.

So far, it's just been another parts list, THATS IT.

Reminds me of a funny story, awhile back we knew a guy who was stockpiling parts bragging about a big build that went nowhere, and a friend of mine said "You're the only guy I know with an 8 second apartment"
Yep, less talk, more drag strip passes fellas. Somebody other than me going to make a pass this year?

. Priorities vs toys, priorities wins that one every time."you're the only guy i know with an 8 second apartment"

It's kind of comical. All you guys fail to see the fact that a built motor like this is going to make way more power than a stock block. I'll be choking the shit out of it the whole way. But it only needs to last a while as I have bigger intentions than a 14b. I built this car as if I was building a low 9 second car and that's all I have to say.

Looks like a aluminum rod 10.5:1 motor to me.

Hrm...14b on my red streetcar for a day? I bet I could knock an 11.99 out of that.
Or but ass and take yellow from a bare shell to a runner before November?
Is it really bench racing when you know how the car is going to react to your setup? In my mind bench racing is these guys saying "IF" I do this or that this "Might" happen. I see lots of if's in here and very little for sures. Just my point of view.

Fuel has always been open, same as engine mods. I'm not sure methanol has much of a practical advantage over E98. In my experience, methanol has been a significant pita with leaking an fittings and hose. Corn=wood?
IMHO, static compression, light rods/pistons, and absolutely perfected camshaft profile/timing are still going to be worth maybe 5% power...~15whp. Maybe 1mph or 2mph traps.
In the end the turbo is just so limited in airflow, there is little potential for significant power gains with only 30lb/min. Very stock engine hard parts can get 90% potential efficiency.
So then again it comes down to weight

You guys seem to forget, the dreaded Hondas are making 250+ wheel hp on a 14b at 14 psi. And SOHC at that. Don't forget what kind of compression they are
