TB boost leak bad?

Performing a boost leak today and theres a bad boost leak from the throttle body. If I push down on it like I was gonna rev it up it stops. Any info would be appreciated.

The shaft seals need replaced. Very common issue.

With the right tool and some patience it'll go smoothly depending on the 2 screws that hold he plate in the shaft. Not hard at all.

I just sent him a 2G tb core. He could send you a rebuilt one with fresh seals in a couple days. A leak is a leak. Shaft seals are a little leak compared to a hose popping off, but the car is gonna run better without the leaks.

Anybody know if I need to do anything to put a 1G throttle body on my 99gst? I searched but couldn't find anything

You'll just need to transfer over your 2g TPS sensor. It's not worth it to use it unless you port match the intake manifold for the size difference.

You can also send it to Throttlebodys.Com He can repair and bore it out for you. Sweet upgrade for down the road!

Oh well, at least it's getting done. It only takes about 15min or so to rebuild it once it's off.

I'd end up breaking something or forgetting how something goes ill just give it to someone with experience and with the economy the way it is I don't mind paying ppl to do a little job for me. Then were helping each other out.
