Actually with the IC blown off, it should still putt around in lower rpm because the ECU got a limp mode. done that many times after blowing a IC pipe off down 1/4 mile track.

Hey whats going on guys - I had a coupple quick questions about your setup if you dont mind! I was planning on picking up the FP 18G w/a 10deg. clip, and doing the port work myself. Would of cost me $650 shipped - and good for 350WHP. This seems like an AWESOME deal, and I had my mind set on it... Then this thread came along ;)

Well, The t04b with an internal wastegate would be $699.00, Then you will need the oil feed/drain line kit which is an extra $99.00. Unless you have the oil feed line already, You can get the fitting, And just buy the oil return line. This turbo can produce anywhere from 300-450hp efficiently. I think that is a great price, And it is basically cheaper or the same price as a 16g, If you do not buy the wastegate or oil lines :)

Ok here are the basic mods I've put together, to support my 18G - wondering what else I would have to add, to run the TO4B to its full potential:

AFC2, Datalogger Setup, 255HP, FIC 650s, 2G MAS, Lancer EVO O2 Housing (ported), 2G Manifold (ported), HKS 264272 cams, ACT2100, Full 3" SS Buschur Racing exhaust, Freshly Rebuilt Head - Stock Bottom End... Thats pretty much what counts, and obviously alot of other minor things... One thing missing: FMIC - In the process of picking up a 28" x 10.5" x 3.5" Race setup - would this turbo/FMIC setup work properly as far as pressure drop and whatnot? What else would I need to set this turbo up? I did have my mind set on the 18G, this setup is about $200 more - wondering if that extra 50WHP is actually achievable? Thats a very impressive dyno run you have there.I will be running 93 octane mostly - race gas a couple times a year so this what matters the most. Do you think the 18G would be better for a 95% street car? Thanks for the help very much, after some more research I may be shooting an order your way. ;)

Well, You have alot of mods, So it's not like you're not going to get some good numbers out of this setup, It really depends on what you are looking for hp wise, This turbo can handle more hp efficiently then the 18g, According to you're hp quote for that turbo. And extra $50.00 isnt much at all. It would be horrible if you got the turbo and then wanted to upgrade to the t04b later on :( I upgraded from the s16g, to the b16g, then to this, I wish I would have just gotten this turbo in the first place and saved alot of money. I dont think you would need anything else for this turbo, It is a direct bolt on, You just hafto block the stock water lines off, Which is very easy.. And then get the oil feed/drain line kit.

Good luck on your choice, And if you go with any products from bullseye-power.com, Trust me.. You WILL NOT be dissapointed :)

After reading all 13 pages I think I am convinced that I want to get this turbo over the evoIII 16g. How will this turbo be on a 2g fwd automatic with a shift kit and end clutches. also what injectors should i run for max power and driveability and to be able to still use my s-afcII. would a 190lph fuel pump work well or would i get more power out of using a 255lph with a AFPR. I will be adding all the normal goodies like FMIC, tubular o2 housing, egt gauge, ported mani, and is there anything else i should get? I know im asking alot of questions but i want to get as much information as possible on this turbo setup.

I have a question for you that's sort of related to this topic.
I have an RRE fmic, which means it uses most of the stock LICP (the flex crap).
I notice that it LOOKS like you utilized your stock LICP to go over the t04b.
Is this true? Could I see more pics of just your lower pipe?

I actually ordered a bullseye t04E, but I believe the outlet is the same size.

Hey, I made my licp. At first, I used the stock licp and cut it up and rigged it to all fit, But then my fan kept rubbing against it and busted a big hole in the pipe, So it was no good.
The pipe I have now I made, I got a piece of 2 1/2 " exhaust piping from advanced auto, A plastic 90* elbow from lowes, and two couplers and a little reducer couple for the one end of the 90* elbow, So the bigger coupler doesnt have to be tightened down and all messed up, With the reducer coupler inside that one, It's a nice fitment. So far I haven't had any problems with this licp, Except for my fan eating holes through the coupler. If you seen my fan in person, you'd laugh. It is really hacked up bad.

This licp goes from the turbo, To where the stock side mount intercooler was, Where then it meets my other little section of licp and comples the licp setup.

EDIT: For some reason it will not allow me to upload any pictures, The screen doesn't even pop up. If you look back a few pages you will see my licp set-up that I made.

I too have decided to go with Bullseye and ordered a H-3 T04B, with a watercooled center section. Dave probably needed asprin and some earplugs from all the questions, very professional and if the turbos are even half a good as his treatment of customers, He's got a faithful customer right here. I will post my results in 1 1/2 wks.

I am assuming you have a FMIC, if so and you want to make a new HARD LICP check this out. It might help you out instead of the plastic elbows and what not.

I'd just be guessing about how it'd be on a 2G FWD A/T, but since I have one too I'd be interested to find out-- keep us updated if you do decide to get this one. I'd think that it may be a bit too laggy on an A/T with a stock torque converter, but I don't know for sure.

I'd recommend 660s if you haven't purchased injectors yet.

I bought the 90 2 inch elbow.
I just wanted to know if you were able to stuff the licp over the 2.00 outlet.
I have a slim fan, so I'm hoping that it won't eat it to shreds.

rsunahar: I'm not sure what you mean about stuffing the licp over the elbow? I have attached a picture for you to show you exactly how I did it.

On a side note..

The car needed new brakes, rotors, and a caliper that was froze. I got my car back last nite and could not believe I was driving the same car.. I am thinking since my braking system got so messed up it was holding back the car.

1st gear, I can hit full boost and the tires just brake loose and the car goes nuts. I accidently banged the rev-limiter because the tires just broke loose so fast I didnt know what was going on. 2nd gear comes, You're smashed in the seat and the car just pulls HARD, As soon as you hit full boost, BAM.. The tires brake loose right to redline again. 3rd gear comes, the car just pulls even harder, The tires again broke loose when full boost came and pulled the car strong/hard right to redline :p I didnt even put it in 4th gear because the top of 3rd gear was enough for me and I was already well up past 100+mph (In an area with no car's mind you, Not a regular city street.)

I only have the car at about 16psi, Same settings I had the last time I posted. When I get this car fully tuned to the max, I dont know what it is going to be like with the boost up'd more and everything set perfect. Also, The it was dry out so the tires were braking loose on dry pavement. I tried picking on a v12 mercedes benz wide body that has been running his mouth, But he then backed down after I agreed to race him for a grand :shhh:

I know this car has way more power to be produced as I didnt mess with anything except the whole braking situation that was totally messed up. I'm just really suprised how good the car feels right now the way it is. It's amazing.

I wish I was able to take the car past redline safely, This turbo does not drop off power by redline, It just gets stronger and stronger, I just wish I had the mods to rev my car alot higher then I can now, Because this turbo does not loose it's steam.

I am right there with ya. It's been cool at night here, and the damn car just keeps pulling. As soon as 4 grand comes around, the cars feels like it was shot off a sling shot.

Thanks..I just remember seeing someone shove the stock LICP right over the turbo outlet with no 90.
I wasn't sure if it was your or not.

Wow that is definatly a steal, For everything! Hopefully everyone looking into a turbo upgrade will purchase this turbo instead of buying a big t28 or big 16g and upgrading to this one later on anyway. :)

Martin,

I plan on ordering one of those from you this weekend if I'm not too late.

Am I correct in assuming that comes with the internal 38 mm wastegate installed?

yes sir it comes with everything! Dave and I knew that if we made this easy everyone would know which way to go. If you want to make sure to get one follow this link, if the buy button is removed it means that the current promo has ended ;)

Don't miss out guys. Vendors aren't always so generous. LOL

well i just ordered it

we'll see how it goes, i got the dsmlink ready to go in as well, with some new FMIC piping, manifold and even bigger injectors...i hope it all works out :thumb:

Actuator included? What wheels are in this turbo/ The compressor is not a garrett/ What is the compressor and what are the wheel specs? Also I am confused between 1029TSG & prostreetdsmx1. I thought Martin repped bullseye? Mark

Yes, Bullseye supplies these turbochargers to The Speed Factor. Depending on where we order our compressor housings from you may or may not get the name "Garrett" cast into them. I prefer the plain housing myself, especially if you plan to polish it yourself. Its a T04B V-Trim rated at 48 lbs/min with a 2.13 inducer and 2.76 exducer 8-bladed wheel.

looks like oone has a not so prety step inside of it, the other is a smoother inlet....i hope i get the smooother one on m t04b vtrim i just ordered...

Thanks for the info Martin. The orginal pic shows a funky, small looking comp housing IMHO. The answer of whether the actuator being included, was that a yes or no?
I have a bullseye turbine housing and externally it is the nicest part of my turbo. It's a beefy son of a gun!
Oil lines are top notch also, again BEEFY flanges on the return fittings! Mark
