2G Swapping ECU

I have a 95 M/T socketed ecu MD312464. If I switched it out with my current ecu (Unknown) would I have to do anything else besides putting my link V3 chip in the new one? Does it have to be reset up in link or is it just plug and play?

when you order link, they will ask basic questions, Based on your answers, they will configure it for you. Altho you will still need to conduct a basic tune later down the road

I already have link, in the ecu that is in my car now.

Its came with my car when I bought it. But I swapped out the ecu and the spare one I had popped, the car cut off and the ecu started smoking. I changed back to my original ecu and its fine now

I think the setting are kept in the chip, should just transfer over, if not, grab a laptop or netbook and run ecmlink and reset your settings, altho I'm sure the V3 keeps its setting even when reset.
