I'd like to upgrade from the standard sealed head lamps...not sure if the conversion to H4 is worth the money and effort or not. I'd like the best hassle to improvement ratio possible. I'd love to avoid any rewiring.

Any suggestions?

H4 is the best with staying Halogen.

You could look into an HID projector retrofit and I'm not talking the common cheap HID kit either. Check out HIDPlanet.com forums and theretrofitsource.com too.

HID is WAYYYYY beyond my budget right now. Just dumped about $3k into the body work bringing it back to life, as well as new coil pack, spark plugs, A/C compressor, and trunk struts.

Still have slight loss of compression I have to figure out as well so I can install an MSD ignition system and start getting other parts for improved fuel economy.

...the HID would be sick, though. I'd love to do that, and rig up some type of LED brake light system.

H4 sucks i uave them on my daily and i cant wait see unless i have ultra white lights. I recently just upped my level of the lights and its done alot in terms of seeing

I picked up an HID projection halo kit and I love them

Again, HID is great, and I would love to have them...but I can't afford them right now. It's starting to look like some Silverstars for me...

its not for the h4666 its listed for the h6052 h6054

That's my point. I thought the 1G used H4666. Mine in at the shop right now, so I can't get dimensions for what's in there to see if what he posted will work.

Delta, I have the regular sealed lamp silverstars for my 90 talon and they are much brighter. Just try a direct swap and see how that goes. My buddy has a 91 talon with the stock lights. There is a pretty good difference in them.

Also, have you tried just adjusting your headlight level to go out a bit more or maybe they're up too high and you need to bring them down.

I have the Silverstars as well and I like them for a quick, easy replacement.:thumb:
