STUCK IN 3rD AHHHH!!!

I was on the freeway going to laguna when a g35 came up on me so I went after him I was going about 65 and dumped it to 3rd then it was like my car was in nuetral yet it was in third and now its in my back yard still stuck in third. It starts up but doesn't go anywhere? when i popped my hood when it happend it look like something under the header cover was glowing bright red? pleez help out!! no any good tranny shops in socal?

The glowing is from the manifold/turbo. When they get really hot, they glow like that. Normal for hard driving.

As for being stuck in 3rd gear, can you switch between gears with the shifter? If not, try shifting under the hood.
