ECMlink Starting to tune pointers needed

I will stay with lite since all should be fine. If I go bigger turbo in the future then I'll go to speed density :)

Well it has been a while since last time.
Here is what I have gotten done.
Fixed fuel pressure issue and a new pump. Aeromotive 340lph
Bigger injectors FIC 1150cc
Set fuel injector times in the DA tables.

I have done idle and cruise tuning each about 5 times and this is what I got so far.

If it looks good I will do some WOT

You should bring combinedft down more either by raising deadtime or mafcomp. That said, your deadtimes are already high (for your injectors) so I would suggest raising mafcomp. A lot of people get caught up with trying to get airflowperrev to .25 gm/rev when really anywhere from .24-.28 is acceptable.

Also, and I'm not sure if you're trying to do this but, your mafcomp table does not have the be a sine wave. I see people trying to mimic this as well. It should be adjusted according to combinedft or wbfactor and smoothed out. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

Consider adjusting your BISS slightly.

I have not changed my deadtime. It is at 0 because I set injbatteryAdj instead.
My airflowperrev is about .26 .27 and that is just from using maftcomp from idleing.

My ISC is a pain in my rear LOL. I have set it to 30 just about everytime I go to tune things and it always seems to change the next day.
I was under the impression that using wbfactor was for WOT not idle / cruise.

The demo's suggest to smooth out the mafcomp so there is not spikes.

You HAVE changed your deadtime via injbatteryadj...

ok...adjust your mafcomp to lower combinedft.

I was under the impression that using wbfactor was for WOT not idle / cruise.

Yes, it is for WOT...

The demo's suggest to smooth out the mafcomp so there is not spikes.

Yes, it does...

Ok I thought you meant in the fuel tab.
I was confused because you said they are too high, when the numbers I am using are the same as Brian's and I contacted Thomas from ECM and he said those numbers are fine to use.

So you are suggesting I lower my Mafcomp table to get lower combined fuel trims?

I was confused because you said they are too high

I didn't say they are too high, just that they are already elevated...

I suggest you raise mafcomp to lower combinedft...try using the mafcompadjust tool for an idea of where it should be.

Ahh ok I understand. I will be sure to do that. After it is closer to 0, then I should be good to go for WOT?

Do you have a cruise log?

Your airflow still isn't quite right in that idle log. What does it look like while cruising around?

You need to be fairly confident that your fuel values are at least close (which you figure out during cruise tuning) before stomping on it.

I was under the impression that using wbfactor was for WOT not idle / cruise.

Yes, it is for WOT...

AFRatioEst is the ECU's idea of what your AFR should be, based on injector pulsewidth and the fuel parameters. If CombinedFT is zero during closed loop, then it should be 14.7. In open loop, it will be roughly whatever is being targeted in the DA table (not counting any temperature compensation of other minor adjustments the ECU is making to the pulsewidth).

In closed loop - if CombinedFT is not zero, then AFRatioEst will show the estimated AFR that would result if the ECU wasn't having to modify the pulsewidth to compensate for the error in airflow or fuel.

I do have a cruise log but it is long. Also at speeds mostly of 65. I will get one that is city driving and shorter in time.

You do know that you can clip a log in ECMLink to any length you want.... right? :)

The ideal cruise log would be 30 to 60 secs of steady driving at different RPM/load points. Drive along at different RPM between 2k and 4k (I use 500 rpm increments) for 30 secs or so at each one, in different gears.

Be sure to NOT make any changes while the log is running.

Ok here are new logs.
Idle after adjusting MAF table.
First cruise is without adjusting OPENLOOPTHRESHOLD
2nd is after adjusting to OPENLOOPTHRESHOLD same road.
Gears 1-4

So what do you think I should check? I will say that it still has issues with just flooring it from 0-100%throttle. It will sputter, go lean then pick back up.
It's not right. Plugs are brand new NGK bpr7es.
I will check and do what's needed I just don't know what's needed LOL.

gofer you seem to be a guru with this tuning program. if theres any way i could get any assistance that would be greatly appreciated. id even be willing to pay you for your time. i got this car with the ecm link installed and have no idea how to use it. ive watched the videos and they helped to an extent.

Thanks but I'm definitely still learning. I've got a day job and don't have the time to invest and tune someone's car, you can contact one of our supporting freelancers that offer remote tuning services.
