Hello, ive changed my head gasket and when i try to start the car it revs up to 3k rpm and shuts off when i try to keep it going it just wants to shut down. ive timed the engine again and made sure all timing marks match up but still have the same problem. it just wants to die on idle. anyone know what this could be? When my head gasket went the hose to the radiator popped off while driving so it spilled hot fluid over the whole engine bay maybe this destroyed somthing?

I would double check if everything is re-installed/re-connected back properly (All sensors, cables etc etc). It's very hard to tell. You should upload a video.

Make sure all connections for the coil pack/PTU and injectors, also the spark plug wire ordering and the spark plug gaps are good.

Are you 100% sure that you installed the timing belt properly? Do you have ECMLink or something that allows you to log?
And please update your DSM profile.

Because you stated only 7 bolt 4g63t. We can't know more than that. Such as year, model, what mods/parts you have. It's about your car's information. So we can guess more based on those infos and more people would chime in.

Do a boost leak test, compression test and leak down test.

If the car was working correctly before the head gasket got damaged, I would definitely do a boost leak, maybe there is a huge leak that’s killing the engine,( IT HAS HAPPEN TO ME ), I would say go through all the hoses but sometimes you find more leaks then you expected.

agreed. If the car ran fine before go find something disconnected etc. You missed something. Guessing you made no adjustments. Took off larger parts as a whole. Intake etc so no need to check tps adjustment. Biss etc at this point. Almost sounds like a single cylinder miss to me. Did you bleed lifters down?

I'd check for boost leaks first, cam senser and connectors. Tps shouldn't have been messed with if you took head off as a whole. Firing order, maf? Then check mechanical timing align crank and oil sprocket marks then check cam gears with a straight edge

On the actual intake flange? Yes. Thats a problem. I would do a leakdown test also. If you didn't bleed lifters did you at least get them all back in the same spot?
