springs and retainers

I tested a box of 32 evo valvesprings. Only 2 of them were even close to spec for stock dsm valvesprings.

How many people that have installed the evo springs have tested them?

The springs are suposed to be lighter because the moving mass is much lighter. I think they are too light for a dsm head and any kind of cam.

I cheaped out and bought things from ebay like an exhaust, but something like valves and springs I would rather buy ones that would provide me security that they wont ruin my head. My biggest fear is that my block is warped then I am going to have to further my spending that I may not have, but I am hopping for the best.

Physically lighter, yes. Spring pressure wise, no. Just because the spring is lighter that doesn't mean that you can get away with less pressure. It still takes the same amount of energy to close the valve on time and keep it closed.

Engnbldr

I was looking at engnbldr's valve lifter and guide kit tonight so did some research came across this link up above, which it is to do with toyotas but there are also good reviews on this site about them, I am thinking of going with them in my head I am about to have machined just because it is a 1g head and I never plan to go past 8k on it if that. as far as springs go I am probably going to go with the kiggly street springs and delta 272 cams. still have quite abit of research to do but, as far as engnbldr goes that link up above and if you just type in engnbldr dsm on google you will get some good threads on here about them.

Thats the set up I planned on using
