He mentioned racing, he didn't say "yooo broo me bro I see a mustang n I mash da gas n i head ma tires burning like ma spleez in ma hand yeee, it's t-shirt time broo gotta beat ya from tha dig"! Not much reason to close a thread that could be about tire pressure, power to weight and traction (Possible idea I don't know).

Trust me man, there's more then a couple good guys on this forum.

I'm confused, what's the difference between that, and what he said?

"i pull up to a stop light and a kid in a cougar pulls up on the side of me and revs his car. it was a late 90s model any way so the light turns green and he floors it so im like hay why not so i do the same"

Pretty sure, that's the same thing. yep.

^^ Dude don't be a d!ck asking about his tires hopping is a legitimate question. You wouldn't even be saying anything if he just said he launched and hopped going into second.

A legitimate question would be asking a question in the first place. Not stating the fact that he was street racing a cougar.

If I was being a d1ck, then I would of flamed him for trying to race his N/T fwd. But I didn't.

I have to say, you really sound like an absolute nut-swinger. Beam down to reality, guy. Young men, from time-to-time, are going to fail at defeating common-sense sometimes and react with a race. I'm 28, and still can't always beat the urge every now & again. This site used to not care about street-racing at all. It was full of talk and videos of it.

Yes, Chris says it's a no-no; that's fine. But get off it a bit. I don't care what you say, I KNOW you've at least went WOT through a few gears or raced someone on the street. And if you were WOT on the street, it's just only not as bad as a race because there's not two people doing it. Either way...

And if you're going tell me about how you can walk on water, what's your best E.T./MPH? What road-course or auto-cross class do you do?

xD! And some people try to make themselves look like a complete hardass and fall flat on their faces. Sure, It was a dick remark, but that was what I meant for it to be because if I hadn't had done it, surely someone else had. If you'll read the last few quotes you so kindly added in, you'd see the reality of the comments... then again perhaps you can't read on the correct lines. ^^

Me? WOT? No. And I can say that with 100% truth. Why? Because my car isn't running properly. Only an idiot would try to run his car WOT or race someone if it isn't running properly. I think there's been a thread of mine up for quite a while trying to trace down the issue. And as far as "walking on water"? When have I EVER sat by and attempted to remotely act like my car/driving is any better than anyone elses here? Never. I'm still a noob, and I enjoy and relish in the fact that I can sit on the sidelines and learn.

Fact is, he mentioned street racing.. I said something a bit dickish. If you don't like it.. well... hit the report button and make some sort of suitable case besides you attempting to be a public moron and see if I get an infraction...or there's an inbox option up top.

Plain and simple.. I leveled with him and left the thread without any harsh words. If you want the truth : Don't mention street racing in these forums if you don't want to encounter comments worse than mine. Cause from the looks of it.. the "nut swinger" - Whatever the hell common sense that makes - would be you, attempting to take on the role of some individualist savior.

Mmmm.. Tastes good doesn't it? That's it.. roll it over your tongue a bit.

Waiting on that lock.

some people just can't tell the difference between having a little bit of fun with your DSM and being a total douchebag about it.....seriously I can't say that there never was a time that I said "sure why not", because what's the point of making a car with lots of power if you're not willing to play with your own toy once in a while. These cars were made to be fun and modded to be more fun. you just have to understand when it's absolutely immature and retarded and when it's a quick bit of fun.
Flamers and d!ckheads really need to shut it and not just scream STREET RACER!!! RICEY DOUCHEBAG!!!
everytime someone say they had a pull for fun. If you can't answer the guy's question without being a jerk then why not click the "Back" button it's right there

Ok I know my N/A is slow that's y I posted this it wasn't trying to b like I'm a BA and race every one.. it was to find out if its common to b able to spin the tires in 2nd gear it was a question and the reason I said anything about the guy in the cougar is because I was telling a story I didn't think it was going be a big deal! I wanted to know if I got lucky and its like a 1 in 1000000 to have that happen in a slow N/A 4g63 that has over 170000! A simple yea that's common would have been great or no you got lucky or buy an awd would have been better then u street racer and how can I b a ricer have u seen my car? Its 98% stock be sides the cd player and the exhaust and the exhaust would have been stock if the dick head that had the car b4 me didn't butcher it! but thanks for once again showing me y the people on dsmtuners sucks! 90% should take your heads out of your asses

:f-u: jaydubb 1988! You say you don't street race, but in the same breath you tell us about how you do.:ohdamn: You say it's your last post on tuners, but you continue to post, just cause it seems you like to :argue: Do us all a favor and shut up and abide by the rules you agreed to when you signed up or don't come back. I can assure you that you won't be missed if you choose to leave.;)

Oh, yes... it tastes so good that some noob who admits his car can't run properly enough to go WOT. An individualist-savior? So what does that make you jumping in here all upset about a 17 second car racing? Then I guess you're nothing more than a conformist, nut-swinger to the masses. What planet do you live on, dweeb? So you come into a thread, acting like G.O.D. himself by trying to lecture a young kid on how to act, I call you out, and you give me some wanna-be, half-ass attempt to make me "taste" something? Your whole response was less than a joke.

I'm so blown away at your deep, intellectual response, grammar and aftertastes, I think I need to brush my teeth. Feel free to send me some Scope so I can after-rinse your epic pwn.

Let's just play nice guys. Yes he street raced, that's bad, we all know this. Answer his question or call him a ricer; but there is no need to bicker back and forth

First and foremost : Who, honestly, gives a God damned about grammar? You can read, no? By the poorly slopped together 'pwn'...as you so call it...I would assume that you can. In that case, Good.

Secondly : HAH... xD People like you make me thankful that I bought a house in a rural area where I hardly have to deal with dumb-asses like yourself. You see, your entire theory of "You just think you're some nutswinging, God-Complex having, know it all!" flew out of the window when you took note of me stating that my DSM wasn't running correctly. So thank you for destroying your own argument. See, I'm not afraid to admit that I'm ignorant in most cases with vehicles. I'm not 'too manly' to sit there and argue with someone about a vehicle when I obviously have no damned idea what I'm talking about. Frankly, a LOT of people respect that fact. So when you sit there, Mr.Awesome, and attempt to bash ME for repairing a car that I got from someone in a trade and have been working on non-stop to CORRECT the issues you only make yourself look more like a wasted load of semen that your mother should have swallowed instead.

Note : ;D Through hard work and constant research, I was able to track down my issue. Foo' should have went and checked the thread that I so casually pointed out in my previous reply. Then again... You, AGAIN, destroyed your own point about me going WOT on an open road, and then trying to change it up to me being a noob because I refuse to risk the reliability of my car acting like a dumbass and not resolving issues before I make bigger ones with poor choices.

Mmmm... God DAMN this tastes delicious. Goes perfect with my Bacon and Eggs. Keep it commin' baby, because this is just entertaining me until a Mod locks it. ^_~

Let's just play nice guys. Yes he street raced, that's bad, we all know this. Answer his question or call him a ricer; but there is no need to bicker back and forth

Hehe. It's obvious that I was just teasing the kid. He caught on after a few posts. But now I'm just having fun. ;D What's most fun is when they pick up on the scraps you intentionally leave out.

FWD I would assume??
To the BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE a N/A AWD hasn't extisted in our great DSM world.

And P.S. I can promise you 99% of DSM owners have "street raced" so don't get all geeked up and offended by someone saying they did. We don't "support it" but everyone does it..

THERE WE GO! Actual truth haha. There's never any point of even flaming since it's a non stop back and forth argument. At the end of the day even the person that pwns the nub doesn't get anything gratifying in return. Arguments are always popular, this thread has been on top of the forum for the past 2 days. Other people actually need help, he got his answer. Now others need one also...

A dsm in need is more important then suiting up for a flame fest.ROFL

U guys are fvcked in the head I wanted to kno if it was comon to b able to spin the tires in 2nd gear and it turns into bashing and sh!t talking sry my first 5spd! And my automatic 2006 grand prix couldn't spin the tires going into second and it had 250hp to the front wheels so I didn't think my little dsm would b able to with half the power! Last post from me on tuners

LOL what trim level Grand Prix? I'm a GP advocate (and former DSM owner) myself... own two GTPs, a 1996 and 1999. The 1996 is capable of spinning through 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd (and that was pre-L67, back when they came with the quad cam 3.4). In the 1999 I can spin the tires if I floor it anywhere up to 24 MPH, or 42 in the rain. Maybe you should turn traction control off?

Too bad it's your "last post", I wanna hear about this Grand Prix.

Back on topic about DSMs... mine would barely break loose in first from a stop. You could just hear a little scuffing from the tires. Everyone (on here too) was like "what did you expect from a non turbo?" Had 121k when I sold it, 100% brand new exhaust, short ram intake. So basically like yours.

Unless you want this thread closed for going way off topic then get back on topic and discuss your personal quarrels via PM
Also keep the term "ricer" out of threads as well. Chris already made that clear multiple times as it's a derogatory statement and if you question that, then take it up with him.

OP
Sorry to say but you did promote the idea of racing on this thread. To clarify you should have said something along the lines of "is it possible in a NA to spin/hop the front tires in 2nd gear".

To answer, yes it's possible. Is it good to wheel hop, no, it is not good to wheel hop as you will break drive train parts doing so.

I really don't care who street races and who doesn't and what anyone's opinion is on the subject. The simple fact of the matter is, people shouldn't be talking about it here. So, if you do street race, nobody here should know about it based on your posting in our forums. If that's not the case, you've violated our posted policy.

If you want to talk about how much you think street racing is okay, go somewhere else to do it, and don't waste our time or yours, by criticizing those who share our view here. We've had this policy in place for well over 5 years now, there should be no surprises about why this thread will be closed.
