spinning tires going into 2nd gear

ok so i was on my way to pick up my brother from work 2day in my 94 talon and i pull up to a stop light and a kid in a cougar pulls up on the side of me and revs his car. it was a late 90s model any way so the light turns green and he floors it so im like hay why not so i do the same. im in first gear and i mash it into 2nd and back on the gas and the tires spin/hop should i be able to do that in a N/A talon it is a 4g63 and i have a 2.5 exhaust that i fabricated myself and the snorkel off the air can thats it. by the way my suspension is bran new i just replace everything like 3 months ago. i do not street race nor do i support it, it was a spur of the moment thing so no bs about how im retarded for racing someone. i just figured id let u guys kno that my car seems kind of beast for a 2.0 N/A

Yeah the N/T engines are pretty beast but from a dig the FWD setup ain't the best. Not saying it will never hook but it is def harder to do so. The screeching and smoking is fun but won't win you any races anytime soon...

Nice ride you got there though. Looks pretty clean. What do you have done to it/What are your plans for it?

thanks man it is clean bsides where some b!tch with out insurance dented my bumper and its almost stock bsides the exhaust and snorkel delete and idk i was thinking about putting a turbo on her but idk to much work and $ and no dsmers around to help out if i need it but yea i think its faster then my 06 grand prix that i use to own. and i kno fwd's dont hook up well but sh!t going into 2nd is kinda crazzzzzy for a 110 hp car or how ever much a 170,000 mile car would have

Yeah I know what you mean. Imagine this one, my other car is a 91 Honda Accord with nearly 300,000 miles on it. That had about 110 HP when it was new. My TSi has roughly 300 HP with 150,000 on it. You can imagine how different it is to drive the two of them. Plus the AWD launch of the TSi is insane!!

I'm 28, and still can't always beat the urge every now & again. This site used to not care about street-racing at all. It was full of talk and videos of it.

Yes, Chris says it's a no-no; that's fine. But get off it a bit. I don't care what you say, I KNOW you've at least went WOT through a few gears or raced someone on the street. And if you were WOT on the street, it's just only not as bad as a race because there's not two people doing it. Either way...

And if you're going tell me about how you can walk on water, what's your best E.T./MPH? What road-course or auto-cross class do you do?

HAHA thank you for saying what everyone was thinking! My pos fwd spins all the way through 3rd at wot even slightly in 4th. On a cold day in the rain I floored it in 4th to see what would happen, spun and spun in 5th . Gets annoying not having traction.

And my automatic 2006 grand prix couldn't spin the tires going into second and it had 250hp to the front wheels so I didn't think my little dsm would b able to with half the power! Yes its normal, or your tires are going bald. Every car is different weight is also an issue.
