Hi guys ... Been a long time since I log in but I saw this post and a bad memory came to my mind. Talking about PVC adhesive ... I had a boss who use to sniff that crap and be flying around all day .. The scariest thing was climing in the truck with him. He could drive but imagine what was going through my mind .. So one day I got to work early and this stupid idiot has a bag of that crap stuck to his face passed out in his office.. He kind of looked purplish blue. I grabbed the bag and tore it off his face pulling most of his mustache out.. He finally got air but was bleeding real bad.. I mean I tore most of his upper lip off.. Get this.. he was mad at me because the scar really stands out.. not very attractive to look at. Well stupid would you rather be dead or look goofy... maybe I shouldn't have used those word cause he never did get over it. It totally ruined his career and he became a drunk.. I don't know if you guys are a wear that I am an Administrator on Club3G.. have been for some time.. Yeh... if you remember I drive a third gen Spyder... Here is a pic that a friend made for the season .. Also busy with the Sarnia Street Cruisers and Retro Car Events...

Ah, good ole HOA'S and their lovely board members and all. Dam I'm glad I have my 6 acres, OUT OF TOWN! :thumb:

This is what I got. It comes with a million screws, washers and nuts. Its skin is a bit thin, but it protects my stuff from rain after I dabbed each roof screw with sealer. You need a 2nd hand to help in it's construction. I built a wood floor for it too.
dang dude ..6 acres is like a city around here..!! im in so cal and im lucky to be on a quarter-acre..

club 3G..?? Hey, I have a 2000 GT that is going to be scrapped but it has a couple things someone might want first.. one is a carbon fibre hood, second is a 3” cat back exhaust and third are a brand new set of halo head lights never been used but mounted in the car.. I would

Broke out the touring car for the first time this season. Ran some solid laps at the track yesterday 🤘🏼

Went to jail for street racing last night. I've been doing that in the same area since I was a teen, but they aren't playing anymore. I can say, it's not a fun experience. We used to fly through at 130-140mph, I was "only" going 71 in a 50 but that's enough to get locked up these days. Definitely not proud of that but it's the harsh end to what I grew up doing. No more fun out there. The jail cells in that area are disgusting to say the least and I'm far better off never seeing one again for sure.

Oh damn, that really sucks.. I know what you mean about those spots where you could fly through at 120+ without much trouble.. just too many people on the roads,( 3/4 of em don’t know how to drive ).. I remember the sheriff would pull us over, knowing damn well we’d been sucking on the suds and say “alright boys, you know you shouldn’t be drinking and driving, now dump those cans of beer on the shoulder and go home”.. those were the days

Working on getting rid of those pesky clip on plastic pieces, flairs or body moulding or side skirts, whatever you wanna call em.. I call them scrap now..
Way cleaner lines without em and would only help your aerodynamic physics if you were going say, 3 or 4 hundred miles an hour, a normal trip to the soccer field..

I've been working on this for a few weeks now. I probably had the rear wheel off 10 times to check and measure, check and measure, make templates out of paper, cardboard, acquire needed hardware, then modify hardware, etc. I bought enough bar stock to make 3 brackets which was big time as I could make the first bracket very experimental. The last two days I transferred over my experimental bracket to make the final ones then installed them and all the effort paid off. It bolted right on without any issue which still amazes me as it was all done with a micrometer and eyeballs for the most part. It was fun to not only come up with the initial idea and play in the GM parts bin, but then to work through the 'oh shit this is going to be pretty involved'. The fronts were easy, but getting all 4 I definitely had to earn.

This has to be the only Grand Am on the planet with C7 brakes on all 4 corners. That's 16 pistons of braking powa!

Nice work. I built my own on a 1992 Talon.

Got my grandfather's car together after a small acccident. The VW dealer I called to order replacement parts sent me a repo fender that according to the bodyshop was previously pulled. I was beyond mad, the parts came in the factory boxes/bags and I didnt open to check them upon arrival :ohdamn:. Big mistake on my part for trusting the dealer. Anyway, the bodyshop did their best to prepare and fit the parts together and my grandfather was happy to get his GLI back on the road, so all was good.

Looks good from this distance.

FINALLY... And I do mean finally. After a long 6 months, the GSX is reassembled. And most of all, RUNNING! After having locksmiths, crap shoot aftermarket parts, many late nights, and a few vinyl records flipped over... We finally got a good set of Japanese Mikuni carburetors and functional ignition coils. It now starts, with a little hesitation, but does start and sounds like music to my ears. It won't rev above 10k, but I blame that one the diesel fuel residue left in the tank from flushing the rust out. We had to fully disassemble the cylinder heads to clean up the rusty intake valves. The bike sat out in the rain for multiple years - with no carburetors and a loose fuel tank. So the rain water accumulated, in the intake ports, fuel tank, and combustion chambers. That's all sorted out now though. Hearing the engine turn over 3 months ago was a great feeling, but hearing it actually run tonight shook my soul. It's only the third fastest bike of 1993, but with the long tube headers plus Vance & Hines muffler, it does indeed shake your soul. Especially after 6 months of endless nights trying to save it. I gave a hefty pat on the back to my accomplice tonight after the smoke cleared up.

This man turned 44, two days ago. He hasn't ridden a powerful street bike since his 20's. After I get new tires installed, he'll be the first to ride it.

Been there......3 days over a weekend. Your description was about like my experience. I "disturbed the peace" after 11pm with a nice turbo romp in 1st gear, so it screamed. I didn't see the 2 cops, parked in the dark, doing absolutely nothing. 😕
I've been working on a 1986 Z28, trying to get a 1st start on a fresh motor before winter hits for good. Yesterday was me getting the dual fans setup and radiator installed along with filling her up with 50/50 Antifreeze.

And here I was BITCHIN' about being under my Silverado, replacing a hi pressure power steering hose today....

Damn, that looks like a not so fun project.
For all the young heads ... live life , but save/invest for retirement . There comes a point in age and after time , when even if doing what you love for a living , is no fun . Certain jobs are still fun , but this had me kicking rocks .
