i ask this question because it seems that many people's bov's open when they rev...mine only seems to open after releasing near full boost meaning 12psi...i think i need to loosten it a bit...then again, the type r has a spring that's stiff as hell too...anywho, any help appreciated. later

I dont boost while in idle, or neutral. I have to actually move to boost. I thought it was always like this?? Although it'd be pretty nice to just sit inside a parking lot and hear my BOV a couple times.

From what I understand a 14b is too big to boost in neutral, so you cannot hear the bov, while the T-25 being so small, can boost in neutral blowing off.

i know a guy who has a 2g with a jdm 6 bolt with a 14b and his greddy type s goes mad in neutral...i guess the question i really should be asking is at what psi should the bov open when i let off the gas...

you can hear your type R in nuetral..... its alot louder than the stock one and you can build up to 5 PSI there (though usually only 1-3 but thats enough for the greddy to sound)

for the 14b it usually takes more than just a tap on the gas to get it to spool up and blow off. If you rev it to around 5k, then let off quickly, it should blow off. Rev it quickly to 5k, not slowly building it off, and then let go. It should blow off

I still have the t25 and when i rev in neatral i can hear the bov. With my stock 2g bov and now with the greddy type s.

Um do you have the R or S? I know you said Type R but I just wanted to make sure.

The Type R is WAY!!!!!!!!!! too stiff even with the lighter spring and screw turned out all the way for most DSM's. You need to be laying down like 450~500+ hp for the R to work properly.

I have a friend who had one on his B16G setup and after about a year of using it his turbo bearings were shot due to compresser surge or whatever you call it.

I would concider selling the R and picking up a S or RS unless you have a HUGE turbo.

i do have the type r on my car...im returning my car basically to stock (cept bc @ 17-18psi on 14b, was running garrett 57 trim t3/t4) for the next while, but will still be using the type r til someone buys it...$200/bo shipped can have it...i need it gone...later
