should I be able to turn my boost down more?

I have a 16g and I can only turn the boost down to about 13psi. It seems to me that I should be able to turn it down more. Am I right?

Sure, you could try that.

It's up to you on that one - the GM MAF/translator is quite a unit, but it'll require you replace your upper intercooler piping and your intake. To me, it's not worth the cost, but you may want the ability to vent your BOV.

If it were me, though, I'd pick up a cheap used 1G MAF off of dsmtrader.

But, in all seriousness, try testing for leaks first. That is your most likely culprit.
