shifter hates first gear

My shifter has started to not want to go in 1st gear. the clutch is to the floor and I have to shove it in 1st. the 2nd gear is starting to get harder to put into gear. Is this my tranny going out or what.

Change your tranny fluid lately. Penzoil syncromesh. Try that first. If it still does it then more than likely synchronizer is going bad.

I'm also having this problem, but tranny fluid has been changed in the last 20,000 miles (not syncromesh though). What would it take to cure this problem......new synchronizer or can you fix the old one?.....$ wise, what are we talkin about guys? PREESH.
