Basically, everytime I go into 4th, if I don't put it in there pretty hard it will pop out if i get right back on the gas right away. Problem is, I'm always right on the gas during daily driving and racing, since if you wait for a second for a gear you pretty much have to go back into 3rd again or you'll bog. I just don't see why my 4th gear is such a pain. All my other gears engage pretty nicely, however, 4th gear pops out whenever I get on the gas right after putting it in gear.
). I'm going to take it apart and do it myself this time (since they obviously can't fix it right
). I've been told it can be a broken poppet spring, loose 36mm input/intermediate shaft nuts, bad syncro, bent fork, bad cone spring. It may take a couple months before I can get to it. In the mean time I now have a 4 speed tranny.
However this problem is still interesting.
