No First Gear

My 2g wont go into first gear. Every other gear works though. I have tranny fluid, but i dont know what could be wrong. Could this be a clutch issue? Or the whole tranny?

if you have a auto there is no clutch its a t. convertor but either way if im not mistaken its wouldnt cause your car to just miss 1st gear. sounds like you just lost a gear. if it were me i would go on the classifids on here and try and find a new tranny.

Is it a 5 spd? If so, I had the same issue on my 92. The dog gear that engages 1st is gone. I could sometimes get it to go in. Others it wouldn't.

Sounds like you need a rebuild...

it is a 5 speed. it seems like theres no end to my dsm problems.
