I need to replace my shifter cable bushings and I've seen a few different options. Personally, I'm not interested in the skateboard bearing ones, so my question is which is better out of the solid ones?

I've seen delrin ones:
Mitsubishi Eclipse 2G Talon Laser Shifter Bushings

and brass ones:
Shifter Cable Bushing Kit

I had the brass ones from SpeedSource in my MR2, but that wasn't a daily driver, so I don't know how the wear would be.

Has anyone used either of these solid bushings? How are they quality-wise? Are there any issues with them binding?

The second link, also available here.

I've had them installed for almost four years with no issues at all. Also look into getting rid of the rubber bushings under the shifter plate in the console, and the rubber bushings on the cable bracket at the tranny.

I already ordered the Symborski Shifter Kit, so I'm not worried about the bushings inside the car anymore. Where can I find the cable bracket bushings?

OP what is it that you don't like about skate board bearings?

I had a set less than a year old in the MR2 and they came apart leaving me stranded 6 hours from home. That's my reasoning for liking a solid piece. LOL
