hi when i put my tranny back in my 1992 eagel talon 5 speed FWD turbo model. i did not put the two bushings under the bolts that hold the cable to the bracket on the tranny on the pasenger side? do i need these in there? could this keep the car from going in gear? it almost goes in gear but right before it does it grinds.

Ya you definately need em! I'm just wondering....what's holding the cables to the shifter bracket assembly???
...and yeah, now your shifter "throw" is off....hence the grinding

Put em back in boss!

I bought some bearings that fit. Only cost around 7 bucks. Cant wait to get the car driving again so I can try them out.

sweet. and what was holding them was i had the little bracket bolted with the two bolts to the tranny then had the cables with there little bracket bolted to that bracket off the tranny. solidly mounted without any bushings anywhere LOL pretty much. does anyone have a pic they could post up of what the OE bushings look like so i can run to the parts store and hunt some down?

thanks for all the help so far! :thumb:
