shifter cable bushings (tranny side)

I put both the cable end bushings and the shifter plate bushings and was very impressed with the result. I got both sets from Mach V, all said and done it was about $50 or so, but well worth it.

Word of caution, though. There are lots of cheaper knockoffs on the Ebay sites, and they don't press fit into the cable ends. They are a brass or some other metal bushing that is retained by a C-clip, which in my mind isn't the most reliable way. If the c-clip comes out there is the potential for the bushing to slip out. Mach V bushings press fit and are secured on the linkage arm by split pin. The bearing has to be pressed in with a small hand vice and done carefully or you'll split the bearing weld.

Check out Mach V, for the install pic's.

I just picked mine up from JNZ tuning.

P.S. The skateboard bearing thing is not ideal because part of the function of a bushing is to cushion impact. Skateboard bearings are not designed that way and don't "give" at all. So when you are banging through gears, you are transmitting that energy directly into your trans.
