Shifter Bushings

I tried searching for the answer to this but couldn’t come up with anything. Now that I fixed the previous issue with the shifter linkage I was wondering if there’s a replacement or if I’m missing a part on the end of my shifter cable. I included a pic where you can see a large gap between the cable and the shifter that makes some slop in shifting

If I remember correctly, there is a kit you can buy to tighten the shift bushings. It’s really a bunch of washers and some other misc parts. I made mine for my 1g and it helped.

Cut up a plastic bottle into strips and make a circle out of one (like a bushing) and slip that puppy in their and see if/how much of a difference it makes.
My 90's have some bushings made like that and they are 100% better than the crumbling, powdered old bushings.
Just a hack, but it will work until you can find the correct pieces.

Thanks for the tip, i ended up placing a washer on both ends and that was able to shim the area and now has no play at all. Thanks for all the help!
