Would the shifter bushings be different for a 2ga and 2gb? Or would they be the same? I was looking at these on Amazon but it says they fit a 1995. I have a 1998. As far as I know it's the same stuff, correct me if I'm wrong.

The other, dirt cheap option, is to go to your local skate shop and get a box of cheap skateboard truck bearings. Take out the old bushing and use a c-clamp and socket to press the skate bearing in. I just did this for my laser, and my talon has had skate bearings in it since I built it.

They're about $8 for a box of 8, more if you want the spendy bearings, which aren't needed.

I have some of those in my garage actually. But I wanted to go with rubber to reduce vibration and I don't want a super stiff shifter.

For what it's worth, my talons shifter doesn't really transfer vibrations that I can feel and everything in it is solid. Doesn't stiffen them either

It more-so makes the shifter precise and less sloppy, takes the play out of it. One of my favorite mods/fixes. Now I just need to grease the cables someday.

I think I can give it a try, I'm sure it won't hurt anything. If I don't like it then I'm sure I can find what I need.
Thanks

Bushings are the same for 95-99. I purchased and installed the ones advertised for 95. They fit and function well.
