Shift box threw a code

So I installed my Road Surge shift box today and I love it. While I was driving with the box turned on, my check engine came on. So I checked it out and It said P1750. So I looked it up and it was talking about the trans. Does any one know why it threw the code? Also if you have any other info it would be great. Thanks

I did, but it looks like he hasnt been on since the 27th or 28th. Any other ideas guys?

It will throw a code,since the tranny is computer controlled and you have disabled its ability to shift the transmission then it would mos def throw a code.

My 1g never threw a code....Must be a 2g thing..I wonder if it will go off when you switch it to reg auto mode...Or maybe after getting the code cleared once, it won't go off again..:crossfingers:

Yeah it should go off when he switches back,its no big deal but he should try it just to make sure.

I love my shift box but one thing to think about is that it is a responsability. having an auto tranny take all the worry of shifting wrong out. but having a shift box gives you the control and you can damage parts if you shift to soon or downshift. i also found you need to give a second before switching gear it really dosnt like to have the buttons pushed fast and have gears skipped over. still love my shift box thanks again tim
