Shift box options

From what I was reading on the website for forced four, it looks like they have wires that you can use to connect to paddle shifter or buttons mounted on the steering wheel etc. Is that correct? Are the wires located at the end with all the other wires that you have to connect?

The road surge box says there is a headphone type jack that you can wire up remote shifting with.

Yes the roadsurge box does have that jack input for the paddle shifter mod, with the 2g steering wheel, as I mentioned a couple posts ago.

I Can link you that mod if you want..If nothing else its a good read.

Just throwing it out there but I've always gotten good support from both roadsurge and shift box color.

So do you still have to use a stock shifter to move the car into Reverse and Park? I was originally under the assumption that the shift box was used for shifting all gears.

The shift box only controls the forward gears when the shifter is in a drive position. Park/Reverse work like normal.

I just finished installing the ForcedFour Plus in combination with a stock TCU and an older shift box. While on stock TCU, ECMLink turns on full line pressure above a specified load factor and it shifts at the stock shift points. When the ForcedFour box is turned on it functions as a stand alone. Pretty sweet setup, I just wish the ForcedFour box could control line pressure for softer downshifts.

I will put up a review/writeup once I've spent some time using it. :thumb:

What shift box did you pickup?

All the current shift boxes only do forward gears..reverse, park, and nuetral are all have to be moved by the gear selector..Because of the manual valve..Ans I'm not sure But I dont think you can have a shift box that controls all gears YET..

I'll see what I can did up tho.
