I'm 6'2" ..... Looking for good black racing seats <$500.
Searching turned me against anything off ebay... but no one got a really good answer about what seat, for what price. Do you guys have any good recommendations?

Anyone know about Airdynamicracing.com ? They have the AxeII which are supposed to be stiched over memory foam, looks like you can get both seats and sliders for $400. COMPLETELY unsure about the quality... but im guessing....... :thumbdown

Note, i weigh about 190-200 and fit GREAT in the stock seats a few notches up..... I just slide all over the place and i think these were on a farm with the windows open :(

If anyone did alot of research and came to the conclusion that it wasn't possible to get decent seats at that price, please let me know..... thanks!

I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs and I'm using Tenzo R seats. They were $400 shipped with sliders. They fit great. Also, APC makes seats w/o their logo. They are OK. Especially for only $120 per seat. Anything generic will only cost about $150-$200 per seat. And there is an overabundance of generic seat manufactures out there. Good luck. :thumb:

MOMO Start seats are only like 399 each, but they dont retract or anything they are real racing seats...I fit great in them too, i am 6'1" and about 175 lbs...so they should work for you too

Check out Corbeaus site. A4 seats for 340 if I remember correctly , plus 78 for sliders. (each) Good thing is, they show all dimensions for fitment. Plus SCC rated lots of seats awhile back, and A4s got good reviews. SCC December 2003 issue, 74 seat review.
I feel you on 500 not getting you what you want. Hey, if you can stand it, get one badass seat and screw the pass...

For a daily driver, Id rather have stock seats than one racing seat. That only looks normal in race cars....

heh.... I actually took out the passenger seat when i was doing some stereo work... Gave my friends the "high speed schauffer service..... with all that leg room the backseat feels like a lazy boy.

^ that sounds awesome. did you re-carpet over the slider holes to make it legit? or just not put the seat back in :p

My gsx is bone stock and hardly runs. Now I want those seats

I will add it to my mod wishlist.

The best/cheapest fixed-back seat I have ever owned is the Sparco Speed. I'm 5'11 and a built 230 lbs and they fit like a glove, actually a little too tight which is why I sold the driver side.

Of course after I sold the seat, numerous people mentioned that you can widen them with a little force..
