And would an ecm link be good for the job? Or could I get something smaller

Never mind I see what you're trying to say. You mean that if you raise the fuel pressure, it will raise the flow rate of the injector. So for example if he wanted to get 950 cc/min of flow out of an 850 cc/min injector (rated @ 44 psi) you would raise the fuel pressure to...

P_new = (P_old)*(Flow_new/Flow_old)^2

P_new = [(950/850)^2 * 44] = 55 psi

Although accordingly this can be rearranged to...

Flow_new = (Flow_old)*sqrt(P_new/P_old)

Notice that the rate of fuel injected is the square root of the pressure ratio. So you need to multiply your pressure by four in order to double your flow rate. You would definitely need a serious fuel pump setup to do that.

So I'm thinking that the injectors were maxed out, but by using the fuel pressure trick and dual fuel pumps he was able to make them work. I still think it would've been easier and made more sense to just install larger injectors.

If the fuel pump was at 43.5 PSI the whole time then yes, the pump would outflow the injectors. Since you only really stress the fuel system in boost, and since we have rising rate fuel pressure, depending on the boost he was running he could have been at 60-80 PSI fuel pressure, which would significantly reduce the flow capabilities of the pump while making the injectors flow more than they would at base pressure. When the fuel pressure goes up the pump flows less and the injectors flow more.

So you were at the limit of a single walbro. On pump gas i would assume since 850's are to small to run e85. I'm sorry but am going to have to call BS. My single walbro is enough for 5 on e85.

Nope, I was running 90 octane pump gas with a multi port water meth kit.

Absit is completely right, I was running higher than stock fuel pressure, to make the injectors act bigger than they were, one fuel pump could not keep up after 28 psi of boost. I put a second one in and problem solved, the set up worked awesome.

Not included my car or the turbo iv almost spent 5000 in parts and laborer, and i still need a dsmlink. I sure i have the supporting mods and fuel for 500hp. But its all gonna depend on the tune, and who knows how much that is gonna cost. 120bucks times x amount of dollars........

With you having a 91 you may be able to run dsmap instead of link. That will save you $600+ right off the start. Holset and injectors may be found for $500 if your patient or know someone. So this may be plausible.

750s aren't big enough unless you have supplemental fuel from a meth system.
