Lol Jim where the hell did you get gt42 at 35 psi from:confused: Cams are a huge help like you said but they are not needed. I mean we could go and say he's gonna needs dsmlink or ems cause not many people make 500hp with safc or that he needs a smim because not many people make 500hp with a stock mani or that he needs a turbo that's rated to 600 hp cause most people realisticly make 100hp less than the max hp ratin on a turbo, you guys see where i'm going with this?

I see where you're going with this but do you see who your audience is? When you give advice on the internet its easy to forget that its not only important to consider the source/quality of information you present but to put it in context with the skill level of the recipient. See where I'm going with this? Nobody wants to see this kid end up dumping $5000 in a DSM only to have it come home on a flatbed with a box full of broken parts. Were called Wisemen because we've spent more money and broken more parts then we really should have. Its now our job to keep the masses of DSM noobies from doing the same thing.

Oh i made sure to give you guys respect and props in my very first post after jim and luda posted as I will give to you. I already stated I am no wiseman and that I don't make it my buisness to argue or contradict those wiser than me but that aside read my post and tell me that you don't see my logic and reasoning. I'm not saying don't use a built bottom end by anymeans but my first post was made only because the poster said NEEDED.

By the way you have a built engine for a 16g some would say that's a little overboard for a turbo that will max out around 400hp but like I said i'm not against built blocks especialy if you can afford it

Just wanted to clear everything up. First of all the car in my profile is not the one i am building. the one i am builing is a 91 eagle talon tsi ALL WHEEL DRIVE. I do not plan on using parts off of the one in my profile on the car i am building. The reason i started this thread was because a lot of people told me it was hard to do. And as i looked into it i could not see any reason for it to be so difficult for there is not a whole lot to do to a bottom end to gain enormous amount of power other than a stroker kit. This is a project car so it may take some time. But i want to do it right. and here is the link for the turbo i have. I didn't it was thet small since it got the same hp as a green turbo. http://www.turbochargers.com/Turbos/TurboUpgrades/Frank3.htm
I want to thank all for the help
