420A replacing a/c condenser unit

I am going to change my a/c condenser unit because I punctured a hole into my current one, can someone please tell me step by step how to take it out and replace it, its the first time i've ever touched the thing.

This is off the top of my head, so bear with me.

Disconnect battery
Drain engine coolant
Remove radiator
remove a/c lines from bottom of condensor. Believe they are 8mm. dont bent the lines, they will just come out slightly.
Slide the condensor backwards off the lines and pull out.

Reinstall is reverse order. Make sure to get new o-ring for the condensor lines.
Take to a shop to get recharged.

Hope that helps, don't believe I've left anything out, not too familiar with 2Gs.

I'm not sure on the 420a engines buts the 4g63 cannot come out that easy as the cross member is in the way and that has to be taken out! I know this as I was going to delete mine and relocate the alt and I haven't done it because of this reason! Its a pita and takes its time! I've read up on this a few times, I would send the link over but I'm on my phone so its hard to do! As I said the 420a might be different

The cross member does not have to be taken out. Did a condenser change on the hubby's GST because his was leaking. The radiator does have to come out, and the condenser should pop out (after undoing all bolts of course ). Push from the bottom of it first, that should give you some room to maneuver the rest of it out. It's gonna taken some wiggling, but they come out with very little hassle.

You're gonna have to get some compressor oil to put in the compressor before install, otherwise you'll destroy the compressor pistons inside..

...hope it's a new unit, for used ones are dangerous for they can go out anytime by seizing up on you since any form of moisture that gets inside is raising havoc with the mechanisms inside

- why it's best to let an AC shop do this form of work.
