not too hard to reverse if u dont like it ;)

Does this apply to a 97 GST convertible ?.... I don't see the bolts...

Here is a very bad picture of what I did with carpet and styrofoam.

Who do you hate so much that you want to put them in the back of a DSM? If they're bigger than your Barbie doll, they won't fit.

I think you'd find that the rear seats are for insurance rates. 4-seat sporty coupes are cheaper to insure than 2-seat sports cars.

I don't see what the big deal is. I'm 6'2" 215 and I fit just fine... As long as someone my size isn't sitting in front of me. Maybe everyone's just fat. :tease:

For spyder all you have to do is take off the bottum cushion with little pull tabs under the front of the cushion, then that cushion comes off easy exposing the bolts that keep the back rest in place, after taking thoes bolts off lift up and off as it is clipped in.
.(at least thats how it is with my spyder 97 gs)

That looks nice to me... Can you tell me exactly what materials you used? Like what weight styrofoam and what not?

Well, I'd never say "fat", but I sure can't park my kneecaps next to my earlobes anymore.
So what, then, the Barbie goes in the front seat?

damn thats awsome! how hard would that be to fit into a 1g? i always leave my back seats folded down cuz i think they look stupid as hell and i dont remove them because their would be a big blank spot in the back of my car. i guess its time to start lookin in the junk yards for a grey one to match my interior!

I removed them from my spyder so i can put this rear support bar in. It isn't like a spyder has a rear seat anyways. I could not even fit a cooler back there with the seats and panels in.

I took mine out yesterday because I got bored. Taking out both parts of the back seats and the hatch cover came to 31lbs. Not that much really, but every little bit helps I guess.

im actually in the process of taking out my back seats.. they dont really weigh crap but it looks way better.. im puttin my subs on the backrest part and my amp and 2 6.5's where the foam part is... its gonna turn out sweet.. im almost done..

My back seats are a waste to me. I am wondering what everyone who has gotten rid of them has done. Are there fiberglass sub inclosures? maybe just a wall tpe deal?

Post pictures and how you did it!

Personally id go with some purple shag carpet and a disco ball. Make sure you play nothing but 80s porn music when you're pimpin it too!

Nah, leave it bare, i have NOTHING in my car.

Wow I was so ready to throw up some karma sutra pics taken in my back seat but I guess you arent looking for that.

I'm stripping all my back end interior out and painting it with that rubberized black paint crap. and rerunning all the wires back there in some new black wire loom so it'll be SOOOO pretty. :thumb:

well i am almost done with my little project. i took out the worthless backseat and made a fiberglass speaker box/ carputer box. my touchscreen comes in this week and i can install. here are some pics. the keyboard is mounted to a custom visor and wont be used much cause of touch screen.
