Recommendations on Clutch /flywheel set

My clutch is starting to pull , car is an 1995 Eagle Talon Turbo AWD , and i need a racing clutch / stage clutch any recommendations?

I like my SouthBend. Has good clamp but close to stock pedal pressure. ACT and Quartermaster are other's that are good but they do have stiffer pedal pressures which some don't like because it could be harder on the crank thrust bearing. Here is one supplier that we all know:

ACT is what a lot of folks seem to go with. I've never tried one though.

Personally, I would recommend a South Bend clutch (SBC). I have had two SBCs. First one served me well for years and is still going. My latest one is performing great so far as well.

Oh good lord....Lol. The first sterp is to identify realistic goals for the car based on your abilities, both mechanically and financially. As well as a timeline. It doesn't make much sense to buy a clutch now to hold 500whp, when it will only make 300whp for the next 10 years.

Once you come up with that, and a list of current mods, we could make a clutch reccomendation.

I personally have run a great many clutches, and still love the XTD stage 4 because it's good for 130mph traps in a 3200lb car, and still retains decent streetability and life. The $180 pricetag doesn't hurt.

ACT is a bunch of crooks IMHO. I do run there pressure plate because it seems to be the best even though it is still garbage.

Southbend wouldn't give me the time of day when I asked them some technical questions on their stuff.

I should try a comp clutch, but I hate paying good money for shit, and that's typical with the dsm clutches.

Why do you think you need a "racing" clutch? Like others have said look at SBC for stock like pedal pressure or ACT for that "stage over 9000 race car feel!"

I would go with a puck disk for launching, otherwise you'll likely overheat/torch a full face disk. If you want to go full race car, look into multi disk clutchs that will let you shift high enough to smack your stock pistons into your tired old 100k plus mileage valvetrain.

What's your mod list? Are you launching off a 2 step/anti-lag?? We need details or our suggestions are only going to be vague at best.

I would stay away from the street discs, and the tmz Kevlar disc then. 6 puck and stock pressure plate will be good for you

The car mod only has is blowoff valve, bigger intercooler currently at 15psi thats it really it launches beautiful till clutch messed up , so looking for a clutch it will make it launch good

Are you planning to drive the car on the street at all? If so, I'd recommend a sprung puck disk of your choice. The discs with solid hubs tend to be on the harsh side, especially when trying to keep some form of street-ability.

No offense but by the look of your profile pic and how you're talking it seems like you maybe giving that drivetrain a little too much abuse. Keep doing it, especially with a clutch that holds, you'll be replacing much more than just a clutch. It's your car though, don't let me stop you. Just a heads up.

Always had the ACT clutches and found them harsh however durable. Don't reccomend mixing disks, pressure plates, and flywheels though. Would reccomend getting everything from the same company and depending on mileage replace throw out bearing, fork and ball. Good luck.

Very little information has been given about the issue that you are having. Posting pics of your disc and pressure plate surfaces may help diagnose the failure of your clutch (if indeed that is your issue) to give an appropriate suggestion. A "racing" clutch will be very harsh on your drive line as will poor driving.

its not grabbing no more very weak , and recently been seeing the back wheel drives thighten up like if the breaks are on

You mean to say the clutch is slipping? Is this only at a launch?

On your other issue:

Have you inspected the transfer case or checked the fluid levels?
Have you verified the condition of your hydraulic system? (fluid level, leaks at the master or slave)
Same question for the trans.

If your into launching your car yes you need a better clutch. The problem is as soon as you get a better clutch your gonna destroy your stock center differential at the minimum. If the center diff housing teeth get chipped your looking at 1000$ for a new housing and a 4 spider conversion, or about 400 for a housing plus cost to have the center diff welded.

**If the back wheels are hanging up it sounds like you may have already damaged the center diff or transfer case. If your gonna launch your car you should have your center diff welded or get a 4 spider conversion.

When launching ease the clutch out to take the stress off the drivetrain and everything will last a lot longer. If you rev up and dump the clutch your gonna destroy stuff.

Probably smoked the center diff if the trams is old and your beat it .
