what kind of clutch/flywheel set up?

i am new to this forum and have a few questions. i bought a 1997 eclipse rs a few months ago for $250. the motor had spun a bearing and the body had a few dents. i pulled the motor took it all apart and im in the process of rebuilding it. im finally to the point in my build that i need a clutch and flywheel. so to my question, what clutch kits are good and reliable but are inexpensive for a 420a? also what is a good flywheel to buy?

It depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you are keeping it stock/few bolt ons then a stock setup would be fine. Maybe a fidanza light weight flywheel if you want to upgrade something.

If you are planning on turbocharging the car, or running nitrous, then ACT makes a heavy duty one that will fit the RS/GS, and is good for 284 ft/lbs of torque, which is a 52% clamp increase.

i dont plan to turbo it right now or at leats for a year or 2. i found a fidanza 2.1 clutch but was wondering if it would fit my stock flywheel?

I know the ACT clutch you need the ACT flywheel. The fidanza clutch should have a disclaimer if you need their flywheel.

Another option too is just buying a cheap clutch from autozone. You can get them with lifetime warranties.
