Recomended spark plugs for 350+hp caras

Hello there just having troubles with my stock plugs i dont know ifthey are worn out by mileage or maybe they flaked for raised boost and fuel, im replacing them and i want to know if i should go with stock or maybe go with any other type.

NGK BRP6ES or BRP7ES. That would be my guess. If you are close to stock go with the 6's. 7's are just one step colder. I'm pretty sure either would be a good choice but do some research and you should find what you are looking for.

You will want the BPR7ES. I'm not quite sure off hand when the threshold for the 8's are beneficial. 0.028" gap too by the way.

With 350HP, I'd do the 7's and see if they can stay within the tan color range. Stock 6's would be too hot with that much HP.

NGK BRP7ES gapped at 28 did great for my talon which was sitting around 320-350whp.

I'm at around 475-500whp right now in my laser and running NGK BRP7ES gapped at 25 and they're great

Yeah you want one step colder than stock for that range I believe and .028 gap if you're using NGKs which our cars prefer

With my last plug change I tried the br7es...they are fully shrouded and dont hold as much heat from what I have read...I usually have to run my gap around .025 but with these I was able to run .026 with no issues.

but really no. I made the same mistake, seems iridium doesnt play well with dsms or any car with boost to my knowledge. But if someone here with a little more knowledge says different then please disregard what i said.

I run 8es's on my 50 trim with no issues. Although I ran 8es's on my 16g too.

I'm cheating and using the BPR6EY's .. the grooved electrode type so the spark isn't squished when it's firing betweeen electode and ground tang..kinda give a bit more kick with that slightly bigger spark.

yes, they're cheaper and our cars love them. Stick with the copper NGK plugs.

Interested as well as to why you didn't go with the 7's. 300-350 is about when i would change over to the 7's. Good luck with the new plugs.
