I just installed my cx racing big 16g turbo. I have a couple of questions about the install I did. This is aside from my other threat about the possible blown head gasket here http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/396407-16g-install-now-blown-head-gasket.html

1. I reused my factor o2 housing do to not being able to fit my sensor on the aftermarket one I got. Any problems with this as a temp solution?

2. The metal ring that goes in between the header and turbo, do I need to reuse that?

3. I had problems with the water line kit that came with the install kit. I used a combo of one old return line that I slightly bent and one new one, does it matter which way I mounted them?

4. After I started the car, which idled at 1500k, I was hearing a sound that kinda reminded me of an old style printer or a computer making a whining noise, any idea of what that could be?

nope, alot of people run stock 02 housings

Yes, that would be there to help seal agaisnt exhaust leaks

doubt it matters

no idea

Do you have oil going to the turbo. If you starve the cartidge of oil with might make that noise. It will be easy to tell if you did because you will have some major shaft play.

Should be, first time I put it on I had oil leak on both bottom and top of oil return line. nothing has changed since I fixed the oil return problem

Have you checked the turbo to see if it has shaft play?

It didn't before I put it on. i will double check when i take my intake off again. I found the noise that sounds weird, I guess its some sort of sensor or ecu noise, probably from my check engine light due to no cat. I will be installing the adaptor this week to fix that.

Use the stock coolent lines flip them around and bend them to make them fit as long as the lines reach youshould be fine.Did you pour oil in the Turbo before putting it on? You should have...yes you need the manifold to Turbo gasket unless you want a exhaust leak.

I think my coolant lines are now ok. Not worried about the noise anymore. I did use a manifold to turbo exhaust gasket. its really thin though and I plan to get a nicer one. I think I do still have an exhaust leak there. I did prime the turbo by unplugging the ignition coil pack like I saw in an instructional video/how to I saw on the forum.
