So i know there are a million threads and ive been digging but i have a auto, im woundering if it would still be better to go 2.0 or 2.3 for my situation i couldnt find really anything on someone asking with a auto, tranny will be built by the same company who built jeff bushes. Im not asking the difference between the 2 at all, asking what would be better mated to a auto

My car saw 40+ psi every day for a year. In a recent tear down everything in the engine including the bearings was in excellent condition.

I build cars to drive. I have no idea why some other people build cars. I build them because I like to drive fast cars, and flog them every opportunity I get.

I live in Arizona and would not hesitate to jump in the Dsm and drive it across the country(I have 5 times) and play around the whole way.

Was it manual or auto?

Well, the OP was inquiring about with an auto
Not a manual. So, wouldn't there be a difference in driveability with a stroker with a manual vs an auto?
I also had a 2.3 auto car with an fp red. 10 second street car that had great street manners. Drivability in the auto cars is closely tied to the torque converter choice.

My friend drives an auto 2.0 with a super 99 on the street. Between the converter flashing to 7,000 rpms and the nitrous, it's spools instantly.

My message is that a well build Dsm can be fast and still driven all the time.
