Im running a big 16g on 27 psi.. and im not understanding where im going wrong because a stock 05 srt4 walked me last night from a roll... and a non-boosted ef civic hatch was staying side by side with me today WTF.. link said i hit 422 hp at one point, i know how unaccurate links dyno system is.. but seriously my car feels stock almost.. tired of getting left, im either gonna trade my gsx or slap on a bigger turbo here shortly if i cant figure out why its so slow.

Big 16g, full fmic, 3" turbo back exhaust (catless), 255lph fuel pump, 750cc injectors, aeromotive afpr, dsmlink v3, dejon intake, tubular manifold..

would it be better to run lower boost through this 16g? Is 27 too much? Just pushin hot air?

Im just so tired of being beat.. and no its not my driving ability because i shift at around 6,500 and i dont miss shifts.. so i dont know..

Without seeing a log, it's hard to speculate. It could be low timing, rich AFRs, boost leak, knock, etc. Do you have a wideband? are you running speed density so we can see post-IC charge temps? I'm assuming this is pump gas? Also, shifting at 6500 isn't helping. A big 16g isn't going to "feel" much faster down low than a responsive little T25, so you really need to wind it up to at least 7k to stay in the sweet spot. You could also have a physical restriction somewhere (shrunken flex section, too-small FMIC, poor tubular manifold design...).

Accurate when calibrated properly. It's more effective and accurate to base horsepower on logged airflow, however.

In your example, I can't think of a single Big 16G user making anywhere near 422hp.

27psi is killing a 16G. There's no reason to run that much boost unless you're attempting a max-HP record or fast drag pass. Curt Brown's old black 1G went 10.33 using a 16G at less boost than you.

Get your boost back down to a much-safer 18-22psi range and work on your tune.
 
I'd also be willing to bet there's a problem with the tune. Are the injectors scaled right? MAf calibrated? ect?

+1 on boost leak test, too.

You cannot just throw parts on it and expect some magic to happen. Contrary to what the Summit and Jegs catalogue may make you think. ;)
 
Like these other people suggested.. Either you have boost leaks or your tune sucks.. Post a log.

On another note, street racing talk will get this thread closed pretty quick.. Id suggest staying away from speaking of it..

something aint right, I run 23 psi on my 99 with all season tires and I still managed to beat my friends Turbo civic (350ish horsepower). But I do have Ceddy big maps and a ton of supporting mods.

EDIT: Ex hatches are very lightweight btw, I think 2200lbs? vs ours at 3200lbs?
