Curious to know if there is a way to pull all current settings, tables etc off the ECU in V3 to save as a back up to fall back on if there ever becomes an issue. Just had the car tuned so don't want to start hitting save to ecu unless I have a fall back. I've searched and emailed Link with no luck in this question. I feel when I initially installed link there was a step to go through for saving "stock/current" settings, but it's been a while unfortunately.

There's not a way to save everything at once, which is what I think you're getting at.

There's also no way to just "load all stock settings". If things have been modified via ECMlink, then they will also need to be un-configured so to speak. There's no 1 click button that will do all of this for you.

The only way to do what you are asking is to physically remove the ECMlink chip and reinstall a factory "stock" version.

Honestly, it's pretty easy to revert back to stock, you just need to ensure you do it in all cases.

In the ECU config tab, just zero any changes made to the fuel, timing, MAF or SD tables. Unless you do anything else crazy (like configure antilag for example) that will take you pretty much back to stock.

For the DA tables ECMlink provides a “reset to stock” button in each of the direct access tabs that you can use to revert those tables to stock: http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/stock_settings

I may not have explained that very well, your reply is geared towards what I'm looking for,but I'm not trying to back to stick so my apologies for that confusion. I'm simply trying to save what's on there (professional tune this last Dec) unfortunately the tuned doesn't save the files so I'm simply trying to save as much as possible that I can use for later use for back up or even to manipulate the settings to change things. I just don't want to change things and muck then up and not have the ability to go back to the tune setup I was on. Hopefully that makes a little more sense than my previous statements.

If you had that tune burned on to a blank eprom then you could easily swap back to your tuned map by just changing the eprom chip.

Ah, no, I understand what you're saying now.

In that case, your life is much easier. Just record a logfile (start capture) with the tune you want to preserve loaded and ensure you denote the file name so you can recall it later. You can change whatever you want, and if you decided the changes suck, make the car run worse, etc, you can just open the old logfile in ECMlink and simply copy the ECU config and ECU direct access tables to the ECU by clicking the "copy to ECU" button in both cases.

You can just upload the stock file from ecmyunings website, as long as you have a manual (450cc injectors) and not an auto.
