when i try and use one of these configs v3configs [ECMTuning - wiki] for the 1G it says i cant save all tp ecu cause not all are compatible with my ECU and it says to try and save them one at a time.. so i do and it wont let me do that either... why is it doing this ???

Firmware shouldn't matter. What are you trying to grab from those files? DA tables?

im just trying to get a good stock tune for my 1g. i just got dsm link and got it used and i think the other guys tune is still on here cause my car ran just awful when i put it in and test drove it. it kept dying and had absolutely no power.

first is reving and idle, second is a drive down the road.

Yup, that works.

Can you update your profile with any mods you've done to the car? This will be very easy to adjust, but I just need to know what you've done to the car to make some adjustments.

yes i will update but i have a 1g with a 6 bolt motor with ross pistons and vacuum delete with an MBC and an intercooler kit and i am manual AWD

Open this file and click "Copy all to ECU" once you've established a connection. This will set the fuel settings back to 0 (including global and deadtime, since you're on stock injectors), set your MAF type to stock (was set to 2g), set your knock sensor to ignore anything below 2500 RPM and 25% TPS, and show your knock CEL at 2°.

You'll want to get rid of that filter if possible and run a line from there to your intake pipe.

i have a line i can run it with, ill do that in the morning as well, can i just message you with the log once i set that up? also will it help if i let the car warm up before i start logging?

After you have gone though all the steps in the "Please read before posting a log" sticky, make a new thread in the ECMlink log advice sub-forum with your new log. Keep in mind we won't be able to help too much on WOT pulls until we know your idle is dialed in properly...and you get a wideband :)

okay, thanks alot! because of your tune when i did a pull i finally got alot of power in it! i will be sure to do all of that, thank you!!!!:hellyeah:

The good thing is is I didn't actually tune the car for more power. I just reset the settings from the previous owner. The car is running on a "stock tune" at the moment. Once you get things going and get a wideband logged, then power can be made.

how much more power can be made from a stock 1g off of tuning?
